OHSA – Workers

This half-day course is intended is to teach participants about occupational health and safety law in Ontario. Understanding the three rights for workers according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The course is designed for upcoming new workers in Ontario.

Course Content 

• Duties and responsibilities for workers set out in the Act
• Case studies
• Reporting of incidences and unsafe practices
• Becoming familiar with the Act and Regulations, and have the knowledge and skill to be able to access detailed information when required
• Understand the three worker rights in the province of Ontario
• Describe the powers of a Ministry of Labour (MOL) inspector
